When?
Friday the 22nd the judging takes place; the best days to visit are Sat 23 and Sun 24 May 2009.

What is the entrance fee?
$ 0, nill, zero. The festival entrance is free of charge. We couldn't make it any cheaper than this!!

Where?
On Tamborine Mountain. To get a map of the mountain, directions how to get there and services and facilities request the free map to be sent to you by post.

How to reach the mountain? There is no public transport to Tamborine Mountain on weekends. Maybe pick ups will be organised during the festival; if so, this website will inform you. In general the best way is to take your own car.

Transport on the mountain
To see all scarecorws you have to follow the information at the trail section of this website. You can also choose to leave your car behind and see the trail without traffic hassles on a Harley Davidson Trike. Rides will be available from Gallery Walk Saturday and Sunday. Competition and prizes
Flyers of the festival will be distributed before and during the weekend in information centers in South East QLD. Or pick up a flyer from any shop during the weekend and count the scarecrows. The winner wins 2 nights accommodation for 2 at the fabulous Witches Falls Cottages!

Activities and Parade
Apart from the scarecrows lots of activities take place, on Saturday at Main Street North Tamborine, on Sunday at the Gallery Walk in Eagle Heights (click here to see last year's activities). A highlight of this year's festival will be a Grand Parade on Main Street, North Tamborine, at 1.00pm Saturday 23rd May. The parade will include many local groups dressed as scarecrows, floats, vintage vehicles, local emergency services, Viking warriors, Light Horse Troopers, several bands and other musicians plus a whole lot more, not forgetting our fabulous and scary Festival Queen on a Harley Davidson Trike!
